There are two areas for restaurants in Cle Elum. Downtown on 1st Street and just off the highway near Safeway.

We have eaten Sarhara pizza three times. Always above-average pizza (I am a tough pizza critic beaing a New Yorker) Most recently we had the Pumba (vegetarian pesto based) and Pepperoni. BBQ Chicken is really good if you go for that. Delivery has always been on-time. Inside I find the atmosphere somewhat lacking and prefer delivery. They have pool tables and video games. Apparantly this is a NW franchise chain. Check out their menu.

Hana Teriyaki was very busy at lunchtime on the Friday we tried it. The decor inside is much nicer than the strip mall exThe fried tofu appetizer was surprisingly good. The yakisoba noodles was a big portion - more noodles than soup. Edamame and stir-fry were solid. They have Mon-Fri lunch specials but most people seemed to order (surprise!) teriyaki bowls. They also have a limited sushi menu that we did not try.

Roslyn is also known as Cicely, Alaska - famous from filming of Northern Exposure.

Village pizza has atmosphere and solid pizza. Red/white checked wax paper substitutes for plates. You order at the register and they bring the pizza to your table when it's ready. Old trivial pursuit cards are available to pass the time. The locals spread honey on the crust - pretty tasty.
